In the Spring of 2019 Allen Manor hosted a community Brunch and Build where several residents, neighbors, and other community members were able to come together to assemble garden beds for residents.   

Since then every new season has seen more garden boxes popping up in the neighborhood!  Bates Place Neighbors is proud to partner with Allen Manor, St. Philips Episcopal and other institutions in the neighborhood to provide neighbors the opportunity to grow their own produce.  

We're excited to see what 2023 holds for the community gardening spaces in our neighborhood!  If you live in the area and are interested in having your own garden bed let us know!  Whether you're new to gardening or have been doing it for years we would love the chance to partner with you, to grow good food, and spend time outside with other neighbors.
